For the first time, Opera in a Box turns from grand opera to Gilbert and Sullivan with The Pirates of Penzance. This much-loved comic opera follows Frederic, a young apprentice mistakenly bound to a band of tender-hearted pirates, as he navigates duty, love, and cowardly policemen. Opera in a Box’s creative team will bring this lively tale to the stage with wit and charm, highlighting its playful satire and memorable music.
